It was great to see Mr Bailey again today! He was a little distracted by the classroom environment today and may have been tired from his big week of training. Once focused he performed very well.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Conditioning||Comment: In his first session, Bailey focused on conditioning to the classroom environment, trainers and other dogs. Bailey showed good confidence when coming out of the kennel, but he was not taking treats or following a lure when in the classroom. Today the high distracting classroom (3 dogs training, 3 dogs visible in crates) was challenging for him. As the session progressed, he slowly began to relax and begin taking treats. The trainer used this time to condition Bailey to his reward maker yes.||Focus: Conditioning||X|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In his second session, Bailey focused on further developing his skill place within the classroom. We focused on this skill to build his impulse control and as an alternative behaviour for jumping. Bailey was initially distracted by the environment and showed little engagement with his trainer. As the session progressed, he began to redirect his focus and follow a lure onto the bed. Once on place he does struggle with duration but progressed well as the session progressed. We suggest continuing to practise this skill at home.||Focus: Foundation||C|
|Skill learnt: Exposure||Comment: In his final session, Bailey focused on exploring the Hedgegrove Pet Retreat facility. We focused on this to expose Bailey to a range of different objects, smells and people. Today people were putting together a gazebo which was flapping in the breeze. Bailey was initially hesitant and barked, however with some reassurance from his trainer he began to explore more. Bailey loved exploring the grounds, meeting new people and having fun in a box.||Focus: Confidence||X|
