2022-01-04

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Bailey’s first session was loose lead walking and he really struggled at first to engage with the trainer and was very focused on everything else around him. When the trainer got him to the bottom carpark, the trainer worked in a very small area and changed direction frequently. This helped Bailey to refocus, but he still did struggle when he thought he was heading back to the office. At home work in small areas with low distractions. Use food as a lure and yes reward when Bailey is engaging. Focus: Distraction D+
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Next up was place. This was in the classroom with another dog training nearby. Bailey again struggled with the distractions and kept getting off place at the slightest trainer movement. The trainer upped the treats to help Bailey remember what to do. By the end of the session he was holding place a little better. At home practice this with you moving around Bailey with big movements like jumping or waving your arms around. Focus: Distraction C
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Final session was drops. Again this was with dog distraction in the classroom. Bailey wasn’t keen to get into the drop position and would sit straight back up. The trainer took Bailey back to basics with this and that did help. However Bailey did struggle to hold position for any length of time. Continue to practice this at home, increasing the treats if Bailey breaks often. Focus: Distraction D+

We recommend your next step should be…
