Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: Bailey’s first session was loose lead down the kennel aisle. This morning was extremely busy with lots of dogs up close to the asile as well as extra staff around moving dogs around. Bailey did a fantastic job. Initially she wanted to stop and sniff all the dogs (some barked at her) but as the trainer just changed direction Bailey soon settled and worked really well. There were lots of different dogs in and Bailey didn’t react at any of them!! Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Second session for Bailey was introduction to the middle skill. A great controlled position and helpful when you need your dog close and safe. Bailey was a little concerned about coming through the trainers legs but the treats won!! The trainer lured Bailey around then threw the treats between the trainers legs. By the end of the session Bailey was then staying between the legs, sitting and waiting for more treats! Awesome job. Focus: Repetition C
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: Bailey’s final session was emergency drops with a few spins thrown in! Bailey did struggle at first but as the session progressed she was dropping much quicker and the trainer continuing to take a few steps forward! Great progress and work on quicker drops next time and progress to the long lead so the trainer can continue walking further away. Focus: Repetition C+
