|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Aslan’s first session was place. This was to help settle him down as he was very excited and jumping all over the place. In the classroom he started to settle on place. He was breaking a few times just with trainer movement but as the session progressed he was staying on place longer. The trainer then got Aslan going between to place beds. At first he didn’t get on the beds straight away but towards the end he was going from place to place as told.||Focus: Repetition||C|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: Second session was drop. Allan had trouble holding the position at first but the trainer increased the treats and Aslan started holding drop for longer. He was still really excited and was easily distracted. However as the session progressed he settle a little better and was getting into position quicker also.||Focus: Duration||C|
|Skill learnt: Paws Up (on object)||Comment: Last up for Aslan was a paws up skill. As he was still jumping around the trainer didn’t want to do loose lead walking die to Aslan’s neck. Aslan struggled at first with putting his paws up on a step. However he started putting one foot up. The trainer started rewarding Aslan for this and then started pushing for both paws. By the end of the session Aslan did it!! This is a great trick to help pull his focus back on the handler and gives him a job to do.||Focus: Repetition||C+|
