|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: Aslan’s first session was place training. This is a much needed skill so dogs have a place to have time out and is handy to use when people come to the house. Aslan did have some knowledge of place but struggled to hold position. However, by the end of the session the trainer was able to take some steps away with Aslan remaining on place. Going forward the trainer will work with Aslan to be able to stay on place with greater distractions and longer duration.||Focus: Duration||C|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: Next session was loose lead walking. The trainer did this outside and although Aslan did pull a bit at the start he did settle and progressed well. He was still pulling a little but the trainer worked in a small area and this helped Aslan focus a little better. Next time the trainer would like to see a bit more engagement from Aslan.||Focus: Distraction||C+|
|Skill learnt: Muzzle Conditioning||Comment: Muzzle training was Aslan’s final session and the trainer continued on with the training that you had started. The session was filled with lots of rewards and positive words and tones. The trainer got the muzzle done up a couple of times for very short periods and although he wasn’t thrilled Aslan was soon distracted with treats. If needed have two people doing this as it is hard to do up the muzzle I the early stages of training as you are offering treats while it needs to be clipped up.||Focus: Desensitisation||X|
