Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Muzzle Conditioning Comment: Aslans first session we worked on his muzzle conditioning. He was initially a bit off and hesitant regarding the straps around his head. To help with this we went back to basics getting him to put his nose in and also just getting him used to having a collar put around him. After that we were able to get the muzzle done up and on and do some work with him from sits and drops to some mini recalls outside. We still only keep the muzzle on for short bursts as he can try to paw at it after 5 or so minutes, when he does this we get his focus back, ask for a skill like sit or drop, release him, remove the muzzle and have a cuddle. He is showing great progress though! Focus: Conditioning B
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Second session Aslan worked on his skateboard trick. He is getting more confident with each time he practises. Usually the trainer has to rest their foot against the skateboard or quite close as support so it doesn’t roll too far to quickly, but today they were able to start walking backwards while Aslan pushed himself along. He can only do a short distance before he jumps off but it’s great progress and we love watching his confidence grow! Focus: Confidence B
Skill learnt: Middle Position Comment: Aslans final session we worked on his middles skill. He was a bit reluctant to do the skill initially so we went back to basics luring him into position and heavily rewarding the final position as he kept running between the trainers legs instead of finishing in a sit. After some repetitions we were able to begin fading out the lure. Focus: Back to Basics C+
