Arlo did fantastic today - he worked on tightening up some regular skills and also pushing his trick training just that little bit further. Well done Arlo!
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: For his first session we pushed Arlo's place skill by getting him to "place" on different objects (raised bed, yoga mat, mat bed). He did well with the raised bed and yoga mat but took a bit of time to adjust to the soft bed mat. Once he clicked that he needed to place on it he did really well. The more objects we can expose him to, the better his place will be! Next time we'd like to get his place really solid on different objects so that he can do place anywhere, anytime. At home use different objects (beds, towels, etc) to help generalise this skill.||Focus: Repetition||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: For his second session we worked on Arlo's emergency drops. He did well with his drops while walking though did miss the cue once or twice from being distracted. He walked past plates of food and dropped in between them with no issues. Next time we'd like to see a bit more focus so that we can push his drops with higher distractions. At home continue practicing drops with high levels of distractions.||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Middle Position||Comment: For his last session we decided to do something fun - as Arlo kept wanting to do middles/peekaboo we started work on getting him to walk with the trainer while in the middles position. He followed the lure very well but is not quite ready to do it without the lure. He was great at both forward and backwards movement with the lure. Next time we'd like to start phasing out the lure so that he will simply walk where the trainer does. Feel free to add this as an extra bit on his normal middles training with lures.||Focus: Repetition||B|

D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
