|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)||Comment: To reduce Arlo's jumping the training did red light, green light with loose lead. This worked pretty well until the trainer was TOO exciting. Arlo was asked to drop when he jumped, showing him what behaviour we would prefer||Focus: Distraction||B|
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down||Comment: The trainer utilised the distracting Vet clinic and Hydrotherapy area to practice his obedience in different areas. He pulled quite heavily when we first arrived however calmed down quite a bit after he was put in a drop or sit. By doing so he was able to calmly take on his surroundings. Lots of people and dogs passed by at which his trainer increased the rewards to further condition the distractions.||Focus: Distraction||B+|
|Skill learnt: Desensitisation||Comment: After Arlo's swims we worked on conditioning the blower, foot bath and ear cleaning. He was very good having a wash down and the trainer gave him a foot bath to assist with his allergies. This is involved Arlo allowing the trainer to massage special shampoo into his paws. He did struggle with this, especially his back paws but overall was a good boy. He wasn't scared at all of the blower and WOW the hair that came out!! His coat hold a lot of moisture but by blowing out some old fur he will be less itchy.||Focus: Desensitisation||B|
