Archie did really well today! While a little energetic due to the weather the trainer was able to successfully redirect this energy back into his training and the two had a fantastic day together.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Drop/ Down
|Comment: For his first session today the trainer worked on his drop inside the classroom. Travelling from the pet resort accomodation to the classroom was really nice today, he had the added hassle of the rain pouring down on him but this didn’t seem to deter him at all! Once in the classroom he did need to do a quick engagement game to get him focused but when the trainer achieved this he was much better with his training. Working on duration building and distraction Archie did fantastic with this today increasing his duration by quiet a large factor as well as ignoring the other dogs and humans in the room, he does need a little work on his command compliance (how quickly he gets into his drops) however the trainer though the bad weather could of been throwing him off a little today so didn’t want to push this just yet.
|Skill learnt: Recall
|Comment: For his second session today the trainer worked on Archie recall. Due to the weather the trainer had to work inside so to make sure it was a challenge for Archie they used food as the distraction to recall Archie away from. To do this they set a bowl up on the other side of the classroom and they would approach the bowl. When he started moving towards it the trainer would ask for his recall. He did really well today, quickly going from ignoring the command to running straight back when asked, he still needs a little work on it and proofing him in different locations and energy levels still needs to be done but he is doing really well with this skill.
|Skill learnt: Conditioning
|Comment: For his last session today the trainer wanted to end on something easy and slow so did some muzzle conditioning! To help with enticing Archie to wear the muzzle the trainer made it into a fun game! They would get him into a sit and then move away from him, while doing this they would ask him to muzzle! This added movement really made the process not only a lot more fun but made it easier for Archie to get excited over the muzzle and really get him actively shoving his face in it! The trainer was really happy with this last session and the day was ended on a big positive note which is always amazing!
