2023-10-17

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Place Training Comment: Archie’s first session we worked on his place. We started in the classroom building his duration around higher energy trainer movements and dogs being trained around him. He did quite well in this environment only breaking early once or twice but was easily redirected back to place by saying uh uh. We moved outside the class and had Archie tethered, here the trainer was able to walk 3-4 metres away while he remained in place. Keep building his duration at home to strengthen further. Focus: Distraction B
Skill learnt: Drop/ Down Comment: For Archie’s second session we worked on his drops. This skill is helpful to redirect unwanted behaviours like jumping, you can also use place. Archie was a bit slow to get into his drops this session but still responded well to the verbal cue paired with a hand signal. The trainer tried to hype Archie up and get him to jump to help test the skill, he got a bit bouncy but didn’t jump on his trainer. We were able to ask him for a drop while he was bouncy. Keep working on this at home. Focus: Repetition C+
Skill learnt: Recall Comment: Archie’s final session we worked on his recall. Today we worked in the class to increase distraction level (people and other dogs near by) Archie did quite well this session, although he can be a bit slow coming to the trainer he stills recalls and finishes in a sit position. Keep pushing this skill at home in different environments. Focus: Distraction B
