Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Conditioning Comment: Archies day today was a focus around being able to groom him. The groomer was able to bath Archie but was unable to dry him. The trainer worked with Archie and the groomer to get him continued to the dryer. Archie did well with this and tolerated the dryer much better than at the start of the session. The trainer then worked with the groomer to clip and scissor some mats out. however Archie got a bit snappy around the clippers so the groomer concentrated on scissoring some mats out. Archie was no longer taking treats at this point. So the trainer gave Archie a break. The trainer continued after a break to condition Archie to the clippers. This involved just sitting with him and the clippers and constantly yes and rewarding him. By the end of the session the trainer was able to put the clippers on Archie. Next time the trainer would like to continue to condition Archie to the clippers so the groomer can remove the mats Focus: Repetition X
