Mr Archie was so keen for training today.
It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.
Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!
"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."
|We focused on
|Skill learnt: Place Training
|Comment: This session focused on some place training. We worked inside and outside the classroom to vary the distractions. He did well with quick repetitions and longer durations - we really kept him guessing today! With his nipping behaviours, take note of when it happens. Redirect him into skills like place, drop and crate. You can utilise a short lead to keep attached to him around the house if needed.
|Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull)
|Comment: This session focused on some loose lead walking around dog distractions. We slowly got closer and closer to the dog distraction, making sure he was engaging with the trainer each step of the way. We rewarded good decisions and engagement. It’s important to set him up for success, don’t push it if he starts losing focus. Create distance, reset and try again.
|Skill learnt: Recall
|Comment: Lastly we worked on some recalls. He was quite distracted by all the smells in the grass so we used this opportunity to call him away from it! After a while he was engaging nicely and finishing in a sit just infront of the trainer. Remember, lots of repetitions in new environments on lead is critical - we want the recall to be bomb proof!
We recommend your next step should be…
A: Outstanding (90 – 100%) I understand my training, Neat & Complete! Ready to move on to higher difficulty & distraction
B: Great Work (80-89%) I mostly understand, Almost neat & complete! Needs practice in some areas. Mild distractions
C: Well Done (70-79%) Some good progress. Needs work, but on my way. Still learning. Low distractions.
D: Beginning (60-69%) My journey is just beginning, I don’t understand just yet. Introduction phase. No distraction.
E: Unable to Progress. Needs major focus, seek further options to assist.
X: Not gradable, the focus was on Enrichment, Socialisation & Engagement.
