|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In Annabelles first session we trained place, she knows a lot of skills. I’m still learning as in training a dog that’s deaf. Annabelle is a very skilful dog and knows her had signals well. In her next session I would love to keep working on this as it’s a big lesson for me as a trainer as well. Training this at home is easy as just sending her to her bed and helping her to understand your hand signals. What I’ve been doing sending her to “place” I would point to the bed, then taking her off place I point off the bed when she does that right thing it’s a thumbs up and reward with food. 1.place she has very good skills and was such a perfect little girl I’m still learning how to train dogs that are deaf.||Focus: Distance||A|
|Skill learnt: Sit||Comment: In Annabelles second session we trained sit. Getting her used of the hand signals, if we keep practicing the hand signals she will get used to them and do sit straight away. Annabelle knows how to sit really well there were a few times she would break from sit which we would do the hand signal which is having your hand flat and raising it up in front of her. Next session I would still like to work on this so when you tell her to sit at home she does it straight away, but other then that she’s doing incredible. Again training this at home is easy just making sure she can see your hand signals and she should sit.||Focus: Distance||A+|
|Skill learnt: Trick Training||Comment: This week the doggies attended their first art class with the trainers. This involved a session full of enrichment and fun, stimulating the dogs mentally, as well as using the opportunity to condition the environment and make something beautiful to take home.||Focus: Conditioning||B|
