|Skill||Comment||We focused on||Grade|
|Skill learnt: Place Training||Comment: In Annabells first session we worked on “place” this was my first time training a dog that’s deaf so I was learning as well. Her place skills are amazing she knows “place” well, because she knew it well I added distance and she was perfect and listened to my hand signals very well. Like I said Bell preform extremely well as we had other dogs in the room as well as her. In her next session I would like to add toy distractions to test her limits. Training this at home would be easy, if she has a bed use that as “place” putting her on place all I did was point to the bed and she would sit on the bed when I released her I would point away from the bed and she listened straight away.||Focus: Distraction||A+|
|Skill learnt: Targeting (touch)||Comment: In Bells second session we trained head rest because I’m still learning bell was a perfect dog for me to learn off. Training this we would put our hand in front of her and lure her head with our other hand which had food in it until she would rest her head on my hand. Bell lost abit of focus towards the end as there was a lot of distractions for her in the room after awhile she wasn’t taking food either, because of the heat she was just exhausted. In her next session I would like to see if we could get her focus for the whole session if not it’s not a big deal. Training this at home is easy do the same as we did, witch one hand have treats in it then with the other hand hold it up so she can rest her head on your hand, luring her nose helps a lot.||Focus: Repetition||B+|
