Adlo's Doggy Dayschool Report

It was a PLEASURE training with your pooch today and we look forward to continuing to help you achieve your goals, skills and improve your relationship.

Your journey does not end here, it has only just begun!

"I trained hard, I played hard! Please find below the skills we worked on and my results. I look forward to showing you what I learnt and working on them more with you!" If you have any questions about the skills we trained please feel free to contact todays trainer."

Skill Comment We focused on Grade
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Arlo’s day began with practicing his ‘ring toss’ trick. Arlo loves picking up his rings and throwing them about, but we are really focusing on helping him drop it on the stand, or as close as possible!! To achieve this, we are only rewarding him when he drops it on the stand, if he just picks it up and drops it right in front of him, we will use his non-reward marker “ah ah” and ask him to try again. He seems to have a good understanding of this and he was so so close to actually getting the ring on the stick!! Keep on practicing at home!! Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Trick Training Comment: Next up, Arlo revisited his ‘soccer’ trick. He loves nudging the ball with his nose, which is great! But there were a few times he would whack it with his paws, but the trainer was sure to use his non-reward marker “ah ah” and have him try again. Arlo is such a clever boy and the next step for him would be to push the soccer ball into a goal!! Keep it up!! Focus: Repetition B+
Skill learnt: Loose Lead (No pull) Comment: To finish up, Arlo did some ‘loose lead’ walking in the sunshine. Mr Arlo has the best engagement and walked beautifully next to the trainer. There were some tempting sticks today but he pulled through and ignored them. Such a good boy, we would love to test him more with higher distractions! Focus: Distraction A
